Upriver Draft

In view of the ongoing developing situation and different communications and instructions being issued by Sanitary Authorities of the Argentine Government we have chosen to send a consolidated daily report at the closing of working hours with an update of the day’s news.

COVID-19 and pilots: Despite the adjusted protocol for inbound vessels issued yesterday, May 21st evening, the pilots are refusing to board vessels at Recalada. Further negotiations are underway between the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Health and the Agent’s Association to get the system moving again under reasonable terms. The bad weather today caused a large amount of disruption for both pilots boarding operations and for the CoastGuard medics who board vessels prior inbound navigation.

National Holiday: Monday, May 25th, May Revolution and Monday, June 15th, Güemes Day.

Covid-19 National Quarantine:
The National Quarantine will remain in force until May 24th. It is expected that this is going to be extended. This will be announced tomorrow May 23rd.
At the main ports the sanitary measures remain unchanged and working well coordinated. The Ships Agency activities being related to foreign trade is one of the excepted

from quarantine.

Parana River draft: The mv MSXT ARTEMIS which, as already reported, had been grounded in front of Unidad VI Rosario freed this afternoon, at 1830 hours, with the assistance of two tugs. The Burondi and the Ranquel. She is now anchored at Rosario Roads where the CoastGuard will perform surveys. Will keep you posted on developments.

Necochea: The port closed May 20th at 1810 hours due to strong winds and 1.30 meters swell. Today, Friday 22nd the swell measured at the entrance was 3.50 meters.
