Corona Virus in Argentina

In view of the ongoing developing situation and different communications and instructions being issued by Sanitary Authorities of the Argentine Government we have chosen to send a consolidated daily report at the closing of working hours with an update of the day’s news.

-The Argentine National Government has extended the Health Emergency for one year.
-Some local governments are demanding stricter controls on vessel’s crews but this issue is being negotiated with National Authorities.
-Coast Guard are instructing that all vessels arriving at Recalada be granted Free Practique prior to board pilots for inward navigation.
-Crew changes are NOT ALLOWED by Immigration.
-There are rumors that Stevedore Union for San Lorenzo will stop work on all vessels that have not yet commenced loading.. They will finish vessels that are presently loading. This will be in place until and including March 31st.Will keep you posted on this.

-The Government has just announced that all long distance passenger transport is to be suspended until March 25th. Local urban transport will be performed under very strict guidelines.
Transport for goods, both national and international will not be interrupted and all persons (crew) while being closely monitored will be expected to work normally.
-Uruguay has closed all borders with Argentina effective 0000 hours tomm March 18th.
